| ADS HDPE
Twin Wall Pipe |
Low Cover - Only requires 300 mm cover to meet highway
loads.
Low CO2 Production cost - 100 times lower CO2 cost per
meter of pipe.
Low Cost - Quick and easy to install saving time and money.
ADS HDPE pipe is a dual wall (outer corrugated wall and smooth inner wall) pipe
that is manufactured from High Density Poly Ethylene (HDPE). The ADS flexible
pipe was one of the first plastic pipes on the world market.
Over the last 20 years additional refinements have been made to extend the range
of pipe sizes and to improve the joint integrity and ease of installation of
these pipes.
With the advancements in polymer science and structural design in the last decade
the ADS HDPE pipe has reached a level where it actually outperforms and outlasts
the more conventional concrete pipe and with increasing need to reduce greenhouse
gas emissions around the world the ADS HDPE pipe is well positioned to lead the
way.
The main benefits of ADS pipe are:
- Low Cover
- withstands vertical pressure by transferring most of the load to
the surrounding soil, which results in the pipe supporting highway
loads at only 300 mm of cover*
- Quality
and structural strength - has been extensively tested and certified
against many international standards and has even performed well at
fill heights of more than 30m (AASHTO , IAB, BAB, IAG, FAG)
- Meets
EN13476 – Produced from virgin resins which meets European standards
prohibiting the use of recycled resins for infrastructure projects
- Light
weight - able to be easily manhandled into position
- Durable
- has a very high abrasion resistance value
- Hydraulically
efficient - maintaining a smooth surface for its entire life
- Very
fast to install - 25 less joints for every 100 m laid
- Low
CO2 - a greenhouse gas emission value that is typically 100 times
lower than concrete pipe
- ADS pipe is available in sizes from 100 mm
to 1500 mm diameter and comes in standard pipe length of 6.1 m
* all pipe sizes except for 1500 mm diameter which requires 600mm cover.
